The World Bank has approved $358 million to help Bangladesh improve road safety and reduce fatalities from road traffic crashes on selected high-risk highways and district roads. The Road Safety Project will help Bangladesh achieve the Sustainable Development Goals on road safety by 2030, said the bank in a statement on Tuesday. On two national highways, N4 (Gazipur-Elenga) and N6 (Natore to Nawabganj), the project will pilot comprehensive road safety measures, including improved engineering designs, signing and marking, pedestrian facilities, speed enforcement, emergency care, added the statement. Brazilian President, Jair Bolsonaro, has been hospitalised again, according to local media reports. Bolsonaro, 67, was on his way to a party event in Brasilia. He did not appear there, however, he made his way to a military hospital with stomach pain, Fabio Faria, government spokesman, said. His wife Michelle said he was fine. Oil revenue deductions by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited in the first quarter of 2022, have increased by 40.45 percent Quarter-on-Quarter (QoQ) to N883.45 billion from N629.07 billion in the preceding quarter of Q4’21, findings from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) have revealed.
