Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State Wednesday laid the foundation for the construction of a $13 million fertilizer blending plant by OCP Africa Fertilizers Nigeria Limited in an industrial layout in the outskirts of the state capital. The National Human Rights Commission panel of investigation into the allegations of human rights violations against the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) has received 150 complaints. The Executive Secretary of the commission, Mr Tony Ojukwu, who made this known at the inaugural sitting of the Independent Investigative Panel on Human Rights Violations, said that the petitions were received from the six geo-political zones and the FCT. A Nigerian, Ms Esther Agbaje, has been elected into the Minnesota House of Representatives in Tuesday’s U.S. general elections.
