Ogoni communities in Rivers, have sued the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Mr Godwin Emefiele at the Federal High Court, Abuja for contempt over N182 billion judgement debt. The sum was awarded against Shell Petroleum Development Company, SPDC, over its oil spillage that affected Ogoni land. The World Bank International Development Association (IDA) will give Benin US$60 million to help the west African country fight against youth joblessness in poor regions, a statement issued by the bank said in Cotonou on Tuesday.
