Bayern Munich are donating €100,000 ($121,000) for the reconstruction of a local synagogue, the Bundesliga champions said on Wednesday. Bayern Munich also said they are adopting the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of anti-semitism in another effort to further strengthen their culture of remembrance. The Nigeria Governors Forum, NGF, has donated M50 million as assistance to Sokoto state government and victims of the Sokoto Central Market inferno that occurred last week. Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti, announced the donation when he visited the scene of the fire disaster in Sokoto on Tuesday. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday confirmed 15 additional deaths from COVID-19 complications, bringing the total number of death toll in the country to 1,522. The NCDC disclosed this on its official website  on Tuesday. The centre also said that 1,303 new cases of COVID-19 was recorded, bringing the total number of infection in the country to 124,299. It stated that the new infections were reported in 24 states and the Federal Capital Territory. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has in its latest World Economic Outlook (WEO) projected global growth for 2021 to be 5.5 per cent as against 5.2 per cent it forecast in October 2020.
