The Commissioner of Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB), Akin Olateru on Thursday in Abuja said the preliminary report on the recent Nigerian Air Force (NAF) aircraft crash in Kaduna would be ready in a week. Olateru made the announcement at the release of eight accident reports which covered 2010 and 2019. A Beechcraft 350, belonging to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), crashed around the Kaduna International Airport on May 21. Gen. The UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has signed an agreement with Janssen Pharmaceutica NV to supply up to 220 million doses of the J&J single-dose vaccine to all 55 member-states of the African Union (AU) by the end of 2022. Some 35 million doses are to be delivered by the end of this year, UNICEF stated in a statement issued on Thursday in New York. The Ogun Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said that five people were killed in an accident that involved a car and a stationary truck around Honda area on Ota-Idiroko Road on Thursday night. Mr Ahmed Umar, the State Sector Commander of FRSC, who confirmed the accident on Friday in Ota, said that two other people sustained injuries. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control says it detected a confirmed case of the SARS-CoV-2, known as the Delta variant in Nigeria.
