The Police Command in Katsina state has arrested five suspects for allegedly raping a 17-year-old boy in the state. Less than 48 hours after his discharge and acquittal by a Kaduna State High Court, Kaduna state government has filed fresh charges against the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, IMN, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky. A Kano High Court, on Friday, sentenced Paul Owne to 104 imprisonment for masterminding the kidnap of nine children in the state. Justice Zuwaira Yusuf, who found the convict guilty of all the 38-count charge, sentenced him without an option of fine. The convict pleaded guilty to the charges and was convicted accordingly. The Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has said that the federal government is set to begin the roll-out of fifth-generation (5G) services across the country. Its executive vice chairman, Prof. Umar Danbatta made the announcement at a public inquiry on the instruments necessary for the deployment of the technology on Friday. The instruments are the annual operating levy regulations and the frequency spectrum regulations. The Bible Society of Nigeria says plans are ongoing to build the capacity of more than 7,000 ministers and pastors in the areas of crisis management, succession planning and home management.
