The students of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, Ondo state, on Friday protested over planned strike by the institution’s Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). Damilola Okunomo, President, Students Union Government (SUG), said that the ASUU strike would cripple academic activities in the school. The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested one Yahaya Zakari for allegedly taking a young woman to his house at Sabuwar Gandu in Kano metropolis. The Commander General of the board, Dr Harun Ibn-Sina, confirmed the arrest in a statement issued in Kano Friday. Unity Bank Plc has announced gross earnings of N23.6 billion for the six months ended June 30, representing an increase of four per cent. The bank said this in its unaudited financials submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Limited on Friday. The gross earnings was higher compared with the N22.8 billion posted in the comparative period of 2020.
