Niger state governor, Abubakar Sani-Bello has confirmed that gunmen abducted 27 students, three staff and 12 families members at the Government Science College Karaga of Rafi local government areas of the state. By Tina George, Minna Bandits have abducted students and staff of Government Science College Kagara, Niger state. The number of those kidnapped was not ascertained at the time of filing this report. ASHENEWS gathered that the bandits in the early hours of Wednesday, gathered some staff and students at a place for hours, before moving them out of the school premises to an unknown destination. Our reporter further gathered that while a student was killed by the gunmen at the school premises, a staff was able to escape from the kidnappers.
The Director-General of Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority, KSSQAA, Mrs Umma Ahmad has announced the release of the 2020 Basic Education Certification Examination (BECE) results, with 73.4 percent of the candidates said to have passed.
