ASHENEWS reports that the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, has promoted 25 academic staff to professors, and 29 to the rank of reader.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, who announced the promotion at the 526th (Regular) meeting of Senate held on Thursday, said that their elevation was upon receipt of positive reports from external assessors.

The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the newly promoted staff and urged them to work towards the enhancement of the University standing in teaching, research and community service.

Those promoted are as follows:
