A non-governmental organization, Lend A Hand For Africa has organized a summer camp for over 100 kids in Ikorodu and Agege in Lagos state.
The program was aimed at helping them to be more decisive about career choices and encourage them to be better citizens of their communities.
According to the organizers, the event is part of its efforts to foster holistic growth and opportunity for young people.
Speaking at the event were Leo da Silva, Emmanuel Oludairo, Comedian, virtuoso Princewill, and Adeoye Wilson who took turns to speak to the children on various topics which ranged from career pep talks, sustainable development goals exposure, mindset shift talks, and much more.
The event also sought to enable participants to use their situations to their advantage and get the best out of life as they also exposed the children to the consequences of choices and actions.
The event also featured storytelling sessions, which were carefully curated to impart life lessons and values, and question and answer sessions which gave the kids the opportunity to express their fears and ask questions.
The kids also engaged in friendly matches of classic games such as Monopoly, Scrabble, and Chess which was an avenue for fostering strategic thinking and camaraderie.
