Two prominent chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are currently meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
They are the former President of the Senate, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, Anyim Pius Anyim, and the former National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Olisah Metuh.
The duo are reported to be officially scheduled to meet with Mr. President by 2 pm. The reason as at the time of filing this report, could not be ascertained.
Recall that while Anyim was suspended by the PDP in March this year for supporting the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi, state, Francis Nwifuru.
Mr. Metuh, on the other hand resigned from the PDP in October 2022.
