The former Governor of Sokoto State and Senator representing Sokoto North Constituency, Sen. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has commiserated with the government of Sokoto State over the death of Dalhatu Shehu Tangaza.
Tangaza, who died on Friday morning was a one-time Commissioner of Water Resources under Wammako’s administration.
A statement issued by the Special Assistant to Wammako, Bashar Abubakar described his death as a rude shock.
Wammako, who described the deceased as a humble man regretted that his death came at a time when the state needed his expertise.
“Wamakko described the deceased as humble, honest, and a trusted leader who held his subjects of Tangaza in the highest esteem.
“The Senator explained that the late former commissioner died when his services to humanity are direly needed.
“He prayed Allah, the Almighty to forgive the deceased all his sins and reward him with Jannatul Firdausi as his final abode,” the statement said.
Tangaza has since been buried according to Islamic rites in his hometown in Tangaza, Tangaza Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
