The President of the Senate, Mr Ahmad Lawal on Monday, led a powerful delegation to condole with Senator Aliyu Wamakko, Senator Representing Sokoto Central over the death of his daughter, Hajiya Sa’adiya Aliyu Wamakko, who passed away Thursday night.
On his entourage were Yobe governor and Chairman, All Progressive Congress, APC, Caretaker/Extraordinary National Convention Committee, Mai Mala Buni and Chairman, Progressives Governors’ Forum, Senator Abubakar Bagudu.
Others were Senate Leader, Yahaya Abdullahi, Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah, Hon. Usman Balkore, former member National Assembly, NASS, and a businessman Alhaji Auwal Lawal Gombe.
The Senate President prayed Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest and her parents and husband, the fortitude to bear the loss.
The Senate President said he was in Sokoto to, on behalf of the entire Senate, commiserate with one of the most active, committed, courageous, good leader and a true Nigerian, who has contributed immensely to the development of not Sokoto state, Northern Nigeria but the entire country.
He urged Wamakko to absorb the unfortunate incidence with grace and faith in Allah by praying fervently for the repose of her soul.
Speaking, Senator Wamakko thanked the Senate President and the members of his entourage for travelling to his state, to commiserate with him and entire family.
He prayed Allah to reward them with Aljannah Firdausi.
Late Sa’adiya died at the age of 23.
