A U.S.-based non-profit medical outfit, Open Hands Amazing Charitable, has pledged to carry out medical outreach programmes in Nigeria to bolster healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
The Founder of the organisation, Dr Magdalene Nwaka, in a statement on Saturday, said that necessary measures had been put in place to ensure the success of the outreach on Oct. 9.
The Organisation, based in New York and owned by Nigerians, is a non-profit medical outfit that seeks to promote effective healthcare services in Nigeria.
“The medical outreaches are part of our philanthropic gestures with the support of Dr Josephine Ewere and Dr Arinzechukwuemeka Agada, who are Nigerian medical Doctors based in New York, USA.
“We have hosted the first of its kind in Ibuzor, Delta State, and we are set to commence another medical outreach in Egede, Udi local government area of Enugu state.
“This is to further support the Federal Government’s efforts aimed at tackling health challenges in the country, by reaching the unreached at the point of their needs.
“Our goal is to enable people, who need medical care, to be taken care of and also be able to access drugs that are hard to come by in recent times,” Nwaka said.
She noted that the organisation had also put measures in place to hold similar medical aid programmes in Lagos and Akuma, in Delta before the end of 2021.
