President and Chief Executive Officer of Dangote Industries Limited (DIL), Aliko Dangote, says the Federal Government’s economic reforms are beginning to restore investor confidence and drive Nigeria’s economic recovery.

Dangote said the ongoing fiscal, monetary and regulatory reforms had improved macroeconomic stability, boosted industrial productivity and created a more resilient environment for businesses.

He said the reforms were also making Nigeria increasingly attractive to investors while laying the foundation for sustainable economic growth.

“The economic reforms being implemented by the Federal Government are beginning to yield tangible results. We are witnessing improved economic activity, stronger investor confidence, increased industrial productivity, and a more resilient business environment,” Dangote said.

He commended the government for what he described as its courage and determination to implement reforms despite the initial challenges associated with major economic adjustments.

According to him, measures aimed at improving efficiency, promoting investment, enhancing transparency and supporting local production are creating opportunities for industrial expansion.

Dangote noted that a favourable policy environment had also supported the growth and operations of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals complex, which he described as Africa’s largest integrated refining and petrochemical facility.

He said policies promoting local refining capacity, reducing import dependence, improving energy security and encouraging domestic value addition had contributed to the refinery’s progress.

“The progress being recorded at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals complex is closely linked to a policy environment that encourages investment, supports domestic industrialisation, and promotes self-sufficiency,” he said.

Dangote added that the refinery’s rising production capacity and expanding export footprint were contributing to Nigeria’s economic recovery through foreign exchange earnings, employment creation and stronger local supply chains.

He reaffirmed DIL’s commitment to investing in strategic sectors, promoting innovation and supporting industrial development.

“Our vision has always been to support Nigeria’s economic development through transformative investments. Today, we are witnessing how the combination of private-sector commitment and decisive government policies can unlock unprecedented opportunities for national growth,” he said.

Dangote expressed confidence that sustained reforms, policy consistency and stronger collaboration between the government and private sector would attract more foreign direct investment and strengthen Nigeria’s position as a leading investment destination in Africa.

“Nigeria is on the path to becoming one of the world’s leading industrial and economic powers. With continued policy consistency, robust private-sector participation, and investment-led growth, the future of our economy is exceptionally bright,” he said.
