The Obi Ebere Chukwu Awgu Health Mission Foundation has unveiled its first Advanced Life Support Ambulance to enhance healthcare delivery in Awgu Local Government Area, Enugu State.
Based in Awgu and managed by Rev. Fr. Kingsley Udeh, the foundation introduced the ambulance on Sunday as part of efforts to bring quality emergency healthcare closer to underserved communities in Awgu Province.
Speaking at the event, Udeh said the initiative was driven by compassion, service, and a commitment to giving back to the community.
He noted that the foundation has worked tirelessly to improve healthcare access in underserved areas.
Udeh explained that the initiative is rooted in the “Ubuntu philosophy” of helping one another.
He stated that the ambulance would provide critical support during medical emergencies and improve access to timely healthcare services.
He expressed gratitude to attendees and supporters, saying their contributions would help the foundation realize its goal of improving healthcare in the area.
A community leader, Dr. Alphonsus Nwafor, commended Udeh for his vision and passion for healthcare improvement.
Nwafor described the project as significant and beneficial for the people of Awgu and neighboring communities.
Mr. Okey Udeji, Chairman of Okeyson Group Nigeria Ltd. and Chair of the Awgu Egbeli Development Union, also praised the foundation.
Represented by Mr. Camillus Ogbuagu, Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Abia Branch, Udeji said the initiative demonstrated Udeh’s dedication to his people and would positively impact the community.
