Sen. Ned Nwoko (APC-Delta) on Sunday described women as the enduring force behind the growth of every society.
Nwoko, who represents Delta North Senatorial District and chairs the Senate Committee on Reparations and Repatriation, made the remark in a Mother’s Day message in Abuja.
“I celebrate the strength, grace, and quiet resilience of women across Nigeria and around the world,” he said.
“Mothers are the steady hands that hold families together, the voices of wisdom in uncertain times, and the enduring force behind the growth of every society.”
The senator thanked the mothers of his children and Anioma women for their sacrifices, commitment, and unwavering support.
“To the mothers of my children, I extend my heartfelt appreciation. Your care, sacrifice, and commitment to nurturing the next generation do not go unnoticed,” he said.
“To my dear Anioma women, your unwavering support, belief, and encouragement have carried me this far. You have stood firm through every season, and I do not take that loyalty for granted.”
Nwoko, who also chairs the Senate Ad-hoc Committee on Crude Oil Theft, described women as the foundation, strength, and conscience of society.
“Where women thrive, communities prosper. Today, and always, I celebrate you,” he added.
