Gov. Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa has approved the appointment of Mr Aminu Kardu Tsigiya as the Provost of Adamawa State College of Agriculture, Science and Technology, Ganye.
This is contained in a statement issued by Mr Humwashi Wonosikou, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, on Tuesday in Yola.
Wonosikou said the appointment followed the recommendation of the Governing Council of the College after Tsigiya emerged top during the selection examination for the position.
According to him, Fintiri also approved the appointments of Mr Yusuf Haman’Adama as Registrar and Mr Mustapha Nasir as College Librarian.
He said the appointments take immediate effect.
According to the statement, the governor congratulated the new appointees and urged them to discharge their duties with integrity, diligence, and commitment.
He charged the Provost to work closely with the management team to promote academic excellence and enhance practical skills development among students.
Fintiri further advised the new management team to prioritise innovation, research, and community engagement to ensure the college remains a hub for agricultural development in the state and beyond.
