A fire outbreak Monday afternoon, destroyed residential properties worth millions of Naira, as well as cash and documents
The cause of the fire, which started at 1pm at the residence, located opposite Dogon Daji House in Sokoto metropolis, was not immediately ascertained by ASHENEWS.
Our correspondent who visited the scene of the fire incident, reports that though no life was lost, a total of twelve rooms were completely razed down by the inferno.
However, the fire was later put out by the combined efforts of the firemen of the Federal and State Fire Service Departments and some good Samaritans.
Some of the victims, Habiba Sanusi, Hauwa’u Musa, Adeyemo Elijah and AbdulHameem Murtala, lamented that they lost all they laboured for several decades.
They appealed to the State Emergency Management Agency, Sema, and the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, to come to their immediate assistance in order to alleviate their suffering.
