The Kano State Ministry of Education has dismissed circulating social media reports about a plan to recruit 3,917 teachers under the “Kano State Government Basic Education Teachers Mapping and Recruitment Plan (2025–2028).”

In a statement issued on Monday, Balarabe Abdullahi, Director of Public Enlightenment in the ministry, described the reports as “misleading and baseless.”

Abdullahi clarified that the ministry has not issued any official statement or directive regarding such recruitment and advised the public to disregard the information.

“The ministry wishes to inform the general public that it has not made any official announcement regarding teacher recruitment,” he said.

He urged residents to verify information through official channels before acting on it, especially concerning employment and public service matters.

“The public is warned against relying on unverified sources, particularly on sensitive issues like teacher recruitment,” Abdullahi added, noting that the clarification is intended to prevent confusion and misinformation among citizens.
