The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced that there will be a partial closure of the Lagos Airport access road on Saturday, October 18, 2025, to allow the Nigerian Air Force to conduct its annual 10-kilometre walk/jog exercise.
According to a statement by FAAN, the temporary closure will affect the stretch of road between the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2) and the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) from 6:00 a.m.
FAAN assured passengers and airport users that flight operations would not be disrupted during the exercise, as scheduled flights will proceed as planned.
“To ensure smooth movement and safety, security personnel will be deployed along access roads to direct traffic,” the statement added. “The access roads will be reopened immediately after the exercise.”
The Authority advised passengers to plan their movements in advance and expect some localised traffic disruptions around the airport vicinity during the period.
“FAAN regrets any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all airport users,” the statement concluded.
