President Muhammadu Buhari, has nominated the service chiefs recently retired, as non-career ambassadors.
The retired chiefs include, Gen Abayomi Olonisakin, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar and Air Vice Marshal Mohammed S Usman.
Recall that they retired and handed over to new service chiefs on Tuesday, January 26, 2021.
Buhari, forwarded their names to the Senate for confirmation on Thursday, urged the Senate to give expeditious consideration to the nominations.
