The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has officially opened the application process for licensed travel agencies seeking permission and slot allocation to participate in the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.

According to the Commission, interested agencies are expected to submit their applications by September 15, 2025.

NAHCON emphasized that Saudi authorities have maintained strict timelines for Hajj preparations, warning that no extensions will be granted at any stage of the process.

The Commission further drew attention to a directive from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj, which stipulates that any pilgrim found performing Hajj without a valid Hajj visa will face a fine of 20,000 Saudi Riyals (about ₦8.15 million) and imprisonment.
