Pesticides used in agriculture have long been the subject of controversy and misinformation – and the attention of regulators. Since before America’s first neonicotinoid (“neonic”) insecticide was registered in 1994, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has been continually assessing the risks of this vital class of pesticide on plants, humans, animals, and the environment.
