Sokoto governor appoints Dundaye as MD Sokoto Media Corporation

The Sokoto state governor, Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto has appointed Labaran Lumu Dundaye as the Managing Director of the Sokoto State media Corporation.

A statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Abubakar Bawa on Monday evening, also announced various Directors.

Lumu, who holds a National Certificate in Education, B.A in English; postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration, and Master’s Degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy, and certificates in Journalism from the FRCN Staff Training School in Lagos and Television College in Jos.

He has held various positions at federal, state, and local government levels, including acting manager news at NTA Sokoto Network Center, Director mobilization and orientation at the Ministry of Information Sokoto, General Manager of Rima Television, Deputy Managing Director of Sokoto State Media Corporation, NTA Sokoto Correspondent to Government House Sokoto, and Judiciary Correspondent for NTA Sokoto.

Lumu was also elected and Chaired the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Sokoto State Council for the period of six years.

Other appointees approved by the governor include Maryam Abdullahi as Deputy Managing Director, Balkisu Abubakar as Director of Television Services, Bala Umar Garba as Director of Engineering, Buhari Awwalu Gada as Director of Mobilization, Abdulrahman Muhammad as Director of Commercials, Danmallam Bashir Balarabe as Director of Rima FM, Ibrahim Muhammad as Director of Radio Services, Yusuf Ibrahim as Acting Director of Maintenance, Abubakar Ahmad kofar Atiku as Director of Special Projects, and Rabi Muhammad Gwadabawa as Director of Mobilization for SUBEB.
