The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has called on Nigerians to avoid voting the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections.

A statement by the Sokoto state spokesperson of the party, Hassan Sanyinnawal said Atiku gave the warning while speaking at the Northwest stakeholders’ meeting of the party held in Kano on Tuesday.

According to Abubakar, of voted to power he would tackle insecurity, inflation, lack of infrastructure, backwardness in educational sector, which had plagued the country.

The presidential candidate said APC lacked focus, vision has no plan on ground to solve Nigeria’s problems, while describing the APC government as a total failure.

He assured Nigerians that, if voted into power, he will provide job opportunities, tackle insecurity and ensure the welfare of all Nigerians.

Also speaking at the meeting, the Chairman PDP Governor’s Forum and Sokoto state governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal assured of PDP’s victory at all levels in the seven states of the northwest.

The governor explained that APC has no reason to campaign as “the government of APC has failed Nigerians and no one in his right senses will cast his vote for it at all levels.”

Tambuwal called on voters to cast their votes wisely by voting PDP candidates at all levels.

Other speakers included former Vice- President, Namadi Sambo; PDP National Chairman, Dr Iyochia Ayu; former Jigawa state governor, Sule Lamido; representative of the PDP gobernatorial candidates North western states and that of PDP Chairmen of the North western states.

They all cautioned Nigerians against voting APC in the forthcoming general elections considering the serious hardship the APC government put Nigerians into.

The Sokoto state delegation that attended the stakeholders meeting was led by the PDP state Chairman, Hon. Bello Aliyu Goronyo.

The delegation comprised  all State Working Committee members and party’s candidates for the National Assembly positions.
