The Anambra State Election Petition Tribunal has sacked the member representing Nnewi North/Nnewi South/Ekwusigo Federal Constituency, Uchenna Eledimmuo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
The election cout also nullified results of eight polling units in Nnewi north LGA for over voting, and withdrew the certificate of return issued to Eleodimmuo.
After the three-man panel deducted the results of the cancelled polling units from the total number of votes garnered by the APGA candidate, he was leading the candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Uzokwe Peter with 29 votes.
Similarly, the court ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct by-election in the eight polling units within 90 days.
