CLAIM: An Instagram user shared a video claiming Fulani jihadists massacred an entire Christian family and kidnapped two babies.
VERDICT: Insufficient Evidence! Our findings showed that the footage has been online since June 9, 2026, and there is no evidence of an attack related to the video or that the victims are a Christian family.

An Instagram user, @_didier.neza, posted a video, claiming that Fulani jihadists massacred an entire Christian family while kidnapping two babies.
The 58-second video shows armed men carrying two babies with many other dead bodies lying on the ground. The two babies can be heard crying as the motorcycles pass by the dead bodies.
As of August 29, 2026, the post had generated 33,800 views, 1,600 likes, 1,200 shares, 522 comments, and 442 reshares.

Many users in the comment section believed the claim was true.
@Uli_suedstadt commented, “Give Christians weapons.”
Another user, @marjpacariem, also wrote, “Lord Jesus save ur people Amen!!!
@goose2436 outrageously commented, “We’re coming for you.”
Given the sensitive nature of the claim, the reactions and engagement it generated, and its potential to inflame religious tensions, DUBAWA decided to investigate.
Verification
We split the video into keyframes and ran a reverse image search. The results led us to the earliest version posted by Tintini Tinti, a Facebook user, on June 9, 2026. However, the earliest version of the post was not accompanied by any caption or claim that the video showed a Christian family killed by Fulani Jihadists.
Also, the claimant did not provide any details identifying the alleged victims, such as the family’s name, location, or date of the attack.
To further examine the language spoken in the footage, DUBAWA consulted a Fulani speaker, Modibbo Sani, who translated some of the words heard in the video.
“…Ndiyam means water. While Chappan e nai e dido translates to forty-two (42), maybe they are counting the dead bodies,” Sani said.
DUBAWA used Google Earth to try to identify the location shown in the footage but could not establish its exact location.
We conducted a keyword search for publications related to the claim but found no credible report confirming any attack related to the video or whether the victims were a Christian family.
Conclusion
While we found that the footage has been online since June 9, 2026, there is insufficient evidence to ascertain the exact date, time, and context of the video or whether it affected a Christian family.
