The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA)has said that over 68 million eligible persons in Nigeria targeted for the COVID-19 vaccination had been fully vaccinated.
According to the NPHCDA, this proportion represents 60 percent of the target population.
The Executive Director/ Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Faisal Shuaib disclosed this in a tweet he posted on his Twitter handle on Saturday.
Shuaib added that 11, 840, 044 eligible Nigerians have been partially vaccinated against COVID-19 as of March 12th, 2023.
This number represents 11.0 percent of the entire population targeted for the vaccine.
“Today, Nigeria has achieved yet another feat in the ongoing C-19 vaccination program. We are excited to announce that 69,607,280 persons representing 60% of the target eligible population have been FULLY vaccinated against C-19, while 11,840,044 representing 11% are partially vaccinated, “his tweet read.
