The Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) recently conducted a resource verification visit to the Department of Nursing Science at Iconic University to assess the human and material resources available for its Bachelor of Nursing Science programme.
During the visit, the panel thoroughly reviewed the university’s provisions and expressed satisfaction with the level of investment in its Open and Distance Learning (ODL) system. The Council pledged to support such initiatives, ensuring that all standards are met so that the programme and its trainees receive quality training, skills, and professional recognition.
Both the department and university management reaffirmed their commitment to comply with the Council’s guidance, aiming to enhance the programme’s quality and its impact on healthcare delivery in Nigeria and beyond.
The Bachelor of Nursing Science is among the degree programmes approved by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and offered by Iconic University.
