The Kaduna State Contributory Health Management Authority (KADCHMA) on Tuesday, launched a support application for feedback and client services.

The State Commissioner for Health, Umma Kaltume-Ahmad, said the introduction of the online platform and mobile app signified a new chapter in the state’s efforts to provide high-quality and accessible healthcare for all residents of Kaduna.

She said the state would continue to embrace innovative approaches and leverage technology to enhance service delivery and ensure that every citizen has equal access to quality healthcare.

Kaltume-Ahmed said, “I am thrilled to be a part of the launch of the online platform and mobile app for the Kaduna Contributory Health Scheme administered by (KADCHMA).

“Today marks a significant milestone for the healthcare sector of Kaduna State.

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the individuals and organizations who have worked tirelessly to bring us to this momentous occasion.”

She said the healthcare landscape was being impacted by technological advances, adding, “As a state, we must adapt to these changes and embrace innovative methods to enhance service delivery.”

The commissioner added that one major challenge the state was facing in providing healthcare services was the burden of out-of-pocket expenses.

She said, “This has been a significant barrier for the less privileged in accessing healthcare services.

“As a state, we are committed to breaking down this barrier and ensuring that all citizens have equal access to quality healthcare, regardless of their financial status.

“This is where the Kaduna Contributory Health Insurance comes in. Through this scheme, we aim to provide affordable and comprehensive healthcare coverage to all residents of Kaduna.”

According to her, with the launch of the app, the state was taking a step closer to achieving this objective.

Kaltume-Ahmed said, “This platform will simplify the enrollment process, provide information on coverage, and enable users to share their feedback on their experiences with healthcare providers.

“Moreover, this platform will also enable us to gather first-hand information from our clients and enrolled members, which will aid us in improving our services and addressing any concerns that may arise.

“This exemplifies our commitment to providing the best possible healthcare services to our citizens.”

She appreciated donor agencies that have supported the state in their mission to improve the health outcomes of citizens.

“Their contributions have been invaluable, and they are deeply grateful for your unwavering support,” Kaltume-Ahmed said,

The commissioner reiterated Gov. Uba Sani’s administration’s unwavering dedication to enhancing the healthcare sector in the State.

In his remarks, Abubakar Hassan, Director-General of the authority, said the online platform and mobile application were for feedback and client services

He said the healthcare sector was constantly evolving, urging, “They must keep up with the rapid advancements in technology.

“The launch of this online platform and mobile application is a clear demonstration of Kaduna State’s adoption of innovative technology to enhance the experience of our subscribers and provide top-notch services.”

According to him, the platform and application would not only make it easier for enrollees to easily access information.

Hassan added that it would also allow them to provide feedback, make inquiries, and lodge complaints from the comfort of their homes.

He urged all the residents, especially those enrolled in the contributory scheme, to download the application and visit the website regularly.

“Your feedback is crucial in helping us improve our services and meet your healthcare needs effectively.

“With this platform, we aim to create a more transparent and efficient system where your voice is heard, and your concerns are promptly addressed.

“I extend a warm welcome to all our esteemed stakeholders in the contributory healthcare and health sector, both from within and outside the government.

“We are honored by your presence, which highlights the importance of this launch and the Kaduna State Government’s dedication to providing accessible and high-quality healthcare services to its citizens.
