Muktar Galadima, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency in Taraba, has announced plans to inaugurate a 50-bed hospital in Ibi within the next few months.
Galadima made this declaration on Sunday during the official flag-off of his 2027 campaign for the House of Representatives in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba.
He stated that the hospital, which is near completion, is his personal project aimed at addressing healthcare challenges in Ibi.
Galadima also pledged to create jobs through partnerships with organizations that will empower youths with skills needed for self-employment if elected.
He promised to prioritize grassroots development, youth empowerment, women’s participation, and initiatives to improve the economic well-being of his constituents.
Additionally, Galadima vowed to support legislation that would bring mining into the ‘Concurrent List,’ enabling states and local communities to carry out mining activities within their domains if elected.
He emphasized the importance of staying accessible to the people, stating that regular consultation with constituents would be a key part of his legislative approach.
Galadima urged supporters to intensify mobilization across wards and communities in Ibi and Wukari, highlighting the need for unity and continuous grassroots engagement.
He appealed to voters to support his candidacy, promising to prioritize the interests of his constituency in his legislative agenda.
Galadima expressed gratitude to party members and supporters for their confidence and urged them to remain united and committed to the PDP.
Speaking at the event, Ibrahim Sale, the Taraba State Chairman of the PDP, called on supporters to work together to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure and improve its chances at the polls.
He also urged supporters to conduct their campaigns peacefully and avoid actions that could create tension among communities.
The flag-off in Wukari marked the official start of Galadima’s campaign for the Ibi/Wukari Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
