The management of The Wells Carlton Hotel & Apartments, Asokoro, Abuja, has issued a strong disclaimer distancing itself from alleged sale, lease, or third-party management claims involving the property, describing them as fraudulent.
In a statement released through the media consultant, Mr. Courage Moses, the management reaffirmed that the luxury hotel remains solely owned by the company and is not available for sale.
“The Wells Carlton Hotel & Apartments belongs exclusively to the family of the late Dr. Wells Idahosa Okunbo,” Moses said. “The property is not for sale, and no individual or group has been authorised to transact any business concerning it without the express written consent of the owner.”
The management warned members of the public and prospective investors to be cautious of individuals or organisations falsely posing as agents or representatives of the owners.
It stressed that any unauthorised transaction relating to the property is illegal, fraudulent, and amounts to trespass.
“Any person or entity engaging in such dealings does so at their own risk. The owner will not honour agreements entered into with unauthorised parties, as such transactions are null and void ab initio,” the statement added.
The company further cautioned that any unauthorised interference with the property could attract both civil and criminal liability, reiterating its readiness to take legal action against offenders.
It also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening The Wells Carlton brand and preserving the legacy of its founder, the late Capt. (Dr.) Idahosa Wells Okunbo.
“The family remains committed to expanding the brand in honour of their patriarch and has no intention of disposing of the property,” the statement said.
