ASHENEWS reports that the Kebbi state government has pledged to cooperate with the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission on its request for an N35 billion Stabilization Fund to carry out developmental projects.
The state’s deputy governor, Umar Abubakar stated this on Friday when he received a team from the commission led by its Federal Commissioner representing Adamawa State, Salamatu Muhammad Bala.
The deputy governor appealed to the team to urgently recommend the fund to enable the Kebbi State government to continue with its developmental projects.
He assured the team of the state government’s support and cooperation in the discharge of their duties.
He noted that a team of experts was organized to take them through the places of interest.
On her part, the federal commissioner said that the team was in the state to assess the level of the ongoing projects as a prerequisite for the official approval of the funds.
She said the visit is part of the due process of the commission to ensure that the activities have been started by the state government before the recommendations.
