The Nigeria Youth Initiative for Peace and Good Governance (NYPGG) has honoured the Registrar of Sokoto State University, Amina Garba (Tambarar Binji) with an award of excellence.

The ceremony took place on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Umaru Ali Shinkafi Senate Building.

Presenting the award on behalf of the Association, the National Secretary, Muhammad Ado said the award is in recognition of the enormous contribution of Tambarar Binji to the development of humanity.

“We are presenting this award as an Icon of Youth and Social Development for the year 2022 in recognition of your sterling qualities, exceptional contributions, and personal dedication to the social and economic development in Sokoto State,” Ado said.

According to him, such gestures motivated the conferment on her and her coronation as the first Tambarar Binji by His Royal Highness, Kabiru Abdulwhab (Sarkin Yakin Binji).

Ado applauded the Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal for appointing her as Registrar of the Shehu Shagari University of Education, Sokoto.

In her acceptance speech, the Registrar dedicated the award to the entire staff of Sokoto State University, in particular and Sokoto State in general.
