Not deterred by complaints from a section of Kano people, the state governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has continued with the demolition of illegal structures.
Recall also that the former governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, who spoke with State House Correspondents in Abuja on Friday, threatened that he would slap his predecessor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso over his alleged support for the demolitions.

However, undeterred by the leadings and threats, the governor ordered the Kano Urban Planning and Development Agency (KNUPDA), to continue with the exercise.
The latest list of structures to be demolished include shops built by the fence of Sani Abacha stadium at Kofar Mata, GSS Kofar Nasarawa facing IBB road and buildings by GGSS Dukawuya, Goron Dutse.

Eyewitnesses told SOLACEBASE that the exercise was carried out in the early hours of Sunday by KNUPDA under the instruction of the governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf.
