Kaduna: Bugwam Kudaru confers titles on sons, daughters of Kurama land

The Bugwam Kudaru (Akurmi) III, Mr. Yakubu Iliya Sauri has conferred traditional titles on 29 prominent sons and daughters of Kurama land.

The Palace of the Kudaru Chief in Yarkasuwa, Lere local government area of Kaduna state, was agog with sons and daughters that have indelible records of achievements in their chosen career.

It also hosted it’s citizens carefully selected to help drive the kingdom to a haven of peaceful coexistence, unity, and massive developmental projects in the land.

The recitations of those conferred with different traditional titles depicted the strength and glory of the kingdom.

Among them are technocrats, professors, politicians, businessmen and women, civil servants, and many others who have specifically and uniquely contributed to the development of the chiefdom, state, and country at large.

Sauri enjoined the recipients to be good ambassadors of Kurama, a tribe whose cultural heritage is known worldwide as farmers and champions of unity, tolerance, and accommodating others who are their next doors neighbors and host strangers by giving homes.

According to him, the Kurama sons and daughters have written their names in gold and left undeniable records in the sands of times and posterity will be kind to them reason that informed their awards.

In the list, the likes of Dr. Lazurus Mantau Soni (Tafida), Ali Garba (Shettima), Professor Matoh Dari Dogara (Sarkin Yaki), Esther Bago (Jakadiya), Capt Musa Garba (Isan Kurmi), Bitrus Garba (Maji Kiran Kurama), Jonathan Shekarau (Salanken Kurmi).

Others are Hauwa Tsoho Abundu-Richard (Yar Lelen Kurama), Jacob Maigamo (Ajiyan Kurama), Maigamo Dee (Ubinda wa Kurmi), Yusuf Abdu Goje (Gado da Masun Kurama), Mathew Gambo (Majidadin Kurama), Nasiru Tanimu (Turakin Kurama), Joshua Elisha Dogara (Sarkim Samarai).

The list also has people like; Mathew Maiwarki (Garkuwan Kurama), Ibrahim Bashir (Dan Isan Kurmi), Dr. Lawan Bala Isa (Dan Iyan Kurama), Sardauna Saleh (Magayaki), Ustaz Yunus (Kilishi), Emmanuel Ayuba (Sarkin Dawakin Kurmi), Alhaji Sulaiman Kudaru (Dan Majen Kurama), Nchiye Mirian Garba (Jakadiya Karama), Nuhu Gagara (Maidawan Kurmi), Haruna Dangana (Jakadan Kurmi), Ibrahim Rabakaya Daniel (Malikin Kurmi).

The list further has Praising Elisha (Sarkin Addo), Maitala Gwaza (Madauchi Kurmi), and Iliya Danjuma Bugandi (Wakilin Kasa).

This medium was further told that there is going to be another batch of the list to be conferred on a later date on senior citizens, Politicians, and those that have made names in one way or the other in their respective fields of endeavors.
