The Delta Head of Service (HoS), Dr Mininim Oseji, has advocated the establishment of government-owned fitness and rehabilitation centres to strengthen healthcare delivery in the state.
Oseji made the call on Thursday in Asaba during a courtesy visit by members of the Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy from the Federal Medical Centre to her office.
She described physiotherapy as essential and urged practitioners to bridge service gaps, particularly at the grassroots level.
Oseji emphasised the need for professionals to expand access to and improve rehabilitation services within communities.
