A 200-level student of the department of political science, Adekunle Ajasin University, Miss Fakunle Feranmi has reportedly committed suicide.
Our reporter gathered that the deceased was confirmed dead after taking poisonous chemical in her room and later cried out to her neighbour, to come to her aid.
She was rushed to a health center where she was later transferred to the federal medical centre, Owo.
As at the time of filing this report, no one could tell why Feranmi took her life.
However, while a section of students adduce the reason for the suicide to family issues, some other say it was because of failed relationship.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the student’s union, Mr Oluwafemi Adegbeyin has called on students to always discuss their problems with a view to finding collective solutions.
ASHENEWS reports that Feranmi’s family members had taken her remains to Ibadan for burial.
