ALLEGED AFFAIRS: Police arrest man for killing 57-year-old in Adamawa

The Adamawa Police Command on Monday, arrested a 27-year-old suspect for stabbing a 57-year-old Yaji Lawal on suspicion of having affair with his wife in Adamawa.

A statement by the spokesperson of the Command, DSP Suleiman Nguroje made available to ASHENEWS on Monday, said “the suspect, John Samuel, a resident of Bandasarga village, Ganye local government of the state, said he returned home on Sunday, between 11 and 12pm and met the victim in his house; there and then, he suspected the victim of having affairs with his wife; all of a sudden he stabbed him with a knife and left him in a pool of blood.

“The victim, a resident of Bakari Guso village, was rushed to hospital and was confirmed dead by medical expert, that  resulted to his arrest by the Police attached to Ganye Division.

“Investigations so far revealed that the suspect is a father of three,” the statement reads.

The Commissioner Police, CP Aliyu Alhaji appealed for calm and commended the DPO of Ganye and his men.

He also directed the Deputy commissioner of Police in charge of Investigation (CID), to take over the  investigation.
