The paramount ruler of Egbaland, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo Okunkenu IV will on Friday, June 24, install a successful sports administrator, politician and social advocate, Bukola Olopade as the Osi Asoju Oba of Egbaland; and his wife, Yetunde Olopade as the Erelu Osi Asoju Oba of Egbaland.
The event will take place at the palace of the monarch in Ake, in ancient city of Abeokuta, Ogun state capital from 10 am.
Olopade, who is popularly known as “Ozogula” by his teeming friends and associates, is also known for throwing top-notch parties and events.
He is the brain behind the top-rated Access Bank-sponsored Lagos City Marathon, Abeokuta Marathon 10km race, and the Remo Ultra-Race.
Before venturing into sports administration and marketing, Olopade was Ogun state commissioner for youths and sports under the administration of Otunba Gbenga Daniel and is a name in the nation’s sports circle.
