The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support programme (L-PRES) has met with the Niger Foods Security Systems and Logistics Company Limited to provide technical support, training, and funding access to farmers, processors, and investors.
National Coordinator of L-PRES, Sanusi Abubakar, made this known during a visit to Tagwai, as part of efforts to partner with Niger Foods.
Sanusi said the proposed partnership would also focus on the livestock value chain, including plans by the Niger State Government to establish a feedlot and livestock hub.

Chairman of Agricultural Business and Integrated Services (ABIS), Emmanuel Nelson Usman, described the move as important for improving livestock production and market access in the state.
In his response, Chairman of Niger Foods, Sammy Adigun, said the company is developing a feedlot project expected to span about 15,000 hectares and support up to 50,000 cattle.
He said the partnership, if implemented, would support ongoing work at the facility and expand opportunities for stakeholders in the livestock
