ValueJet is set to launch two new routes — Owerri to Abuja and Accra to Banjul — as part of efforts to expand connectivity and strengthen regional integration across West Africa.

The airline will begin daily flights on the Owerri-Abuja route on May 18, creating a direct link between the South-East geopolitical zone and Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory.

This was disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday by the airline’s Managing Director, Capt. Omololu Majekodunmi.

Majekodunmi also announced that the airline would commence operations on the Accra-Banjul route on May 14 as part of its regional expansion strategy.

According to him, the Owerri-Abuja service is designed to meet the travel needs of businesspeople, professionals, government officials, families, students, and leisure travelers.

He added that the airline would operate the Accra-Banjul route three times weekly, expressing optimism that the service would boost regional mobility, tourism, trade, and economic collaboration across West Africa.
