ASHENEWS gathers that terrorists in Niger state have gang-raped an expectant mother to death in Dnakundna village in Shiroro local government area of Niger state.

PRNigeria reports that the woman was ambushed by the terrorists when she and others from her village were escaping from the terrorists.

It was learned that the incident occurred on Thursday morning.

Sources from the community said the terrorists had imposed on the villagers a levy of N2 million to enable the villagers to harvest their farm produce or risk attack.

Being unable to pay the levy, the villagers began to leave the community in order to escape the terrorists’ invasion.

The deceased was among those who were fleeing the village but fell into the ambush of the terrorists alongside her three children.

It was learned that the deceased was gang-raped by seven terrorists who later abandoned her with bruises all over her body.

The victim was taken to the hospital by her family where she died on Friday night.

It was further learnt that several villagers were abducted when the terrorists invaded the village.
