The Nigerian Army has warned the public to avoid the shooting range at Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Ibadan, ahead of the Range Classification Exercise scheduled from Wednesday to Thursday.
Lt.-Col. Jonah Danjuma, acting Deputy Director of the 2 Division Army Public Relations, issued the warning in a statement on Tuesday.
He noted that the exercise would take place at the Major General O. F. Azinta Shooting Range within Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment.

Danjuma urged residents, especially those around the cantonment, to stay clear of the designated range area.
“They are also advised not to panic if they hear gunshots. Additionally, farmers and hunters in the vicinity are cautioned to stay off the range during the exercise. Measures are in place to prevent unwarranted intrusion during this period,” he said.
