The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Adamawa State says its Agro Rangers unit has reduced farmers-herders conflicts in the state by 90 per cent. The Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Board has launched a community outreach programme on health education to curb the spread of waterborne diseases across the state. The Executive Secretary of the board, Dr Ruwanu Mohammed, disclosed this in an interview with reporters on Friday in Bauchi. The Nigeria Tobacco Control Alliance has called for the establishment of smoke-free cities across the country to protect children and non-smokers from the harmful effects of second-hand tobacco smoke. The Research Department of United Capital Plc has projected a marginal increase in Nigeria’s headline inflation rate to 15.95 per cent in June 2026, up from 15.93 per cent recorded in May.
