Traffic Management Solution devices of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) captured 38,000 vehicles for various traffic offences in the second quarter of 2026. The General Manager of LASTMA, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, disclosed this in an interview with reporters on Sunday in Lagos. Five people, including four children, have died after landslides triggered by 48 hours of heavy rainfall devastated Ikot Anwatim Community in Calabar Municipality, Cross River State. The landslides also destroyed two houses and injured two other residents, according to the Cross River State Emergency Management Agency (CR-SEMA).
