The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has confirmed a fire incident at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja. This is contained in a statement by the authority’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mr Henry Agbebire, on Sunday. Agbebire said FAAN’s Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service was responding to the incident and working diligently to contain the situation. The Bundibugyo virus disease outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) has intensified, becoming the largest Ebola outbreak ever recorded in the country, the World Health Organization (WHO) has said. In a statement issued on Saturday, WHO said the outbreak had spread to five provinces, affecting 49 health zones, with sustained transmission, rising infections and increasing deaths reported nationwide.
