The Benue State Government says the state has recorded 11 confirmed cases of Lassa fever and four deaths. Dr Paul Ogwuche, the state’s Commissioner for Health and Human Services, disclosed this to newsmen in Makurdi on Monday. An environmental expert, Hajara Danmusa, has urged households—especially women—to adopt simple organic waste recycling practices to reduce methane emissions and support climate change mitigation. Danmusa, a water resources and environmental engineer, made the call in an interview with reporters on Monday.
