Edo State Police Command has confirmed the kidnap of two Catholic Reverend Fathers from Central Senatorial District on Benin-Auchi Expressway between Ehor and Iruekpen areas. The spokesperson of the command, SP Chidi Nwabuzor disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Benin. The Catholic priests are Rev. Fr. Udo Peter and Rev. Fr. Terrorists on Monday night killed five smallholder farmers and rustled unspecified number of cattle in Barkeji village in Kauran Namoda local government area of Zamfara state. A resident of the village told ASHENEWS that “the terrorists killed persons and one other person was injured and in critical condition. “He is now receiving medical attention at a local health facility. “Also, the terrorists rustled unspecified number of cattle,” he said. A heavy-duty truck crushed four vehicles close to Karu Bridge on the busy Abuja-Nyanya-Keffi Expressway on Sunday. The multiple crash has caused heavy traffic on the road. However, personnel of Karu Division of the Nigeria Police Force and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) arrived at the scene almost immediately and diverted the traffic to parking lane.
