Nigeria and Cameroon have approached the International Court of Justice (ICJ) at the Hugue for clarification over its judgment delivered 20 years ago on the two countries’ dispute on the ownership of Bakassi Peninsula. In October 10, 2002, the ICJ had upheld Cameroon’s claim to the area under dispute, with some issues in the judgement still under contention. The death has occurred of the Emir of Funakaye, Mu’azu Muhammad Kwairanga in Funakaye local government area of Gombe state. Aged 43 and survived by one wife and five children, the late Emir died on Saturday midnight shortly after retiring to bed, Funakaye Emirate Council reveals. The Ebonyi Police Command has confirmed a Thursday night attack on Galaxy Hotel in Isu community of Onicha local government area, killing its owner, Ogbonnaya Nwadibia and two others.
